Minecraft is one of the best and probably most popular sandbox game. While its graphics is very simple to say the least, the gameplay is increadibly addictive. You can mine for many different things, combine them and craft different items - anything from weapons to building blocks. You can then use these items to mine for more raw material, fight monsters which come at night, or build house, wall, fortress, whatever comes to your mind! That's the beauty of the game, as it gives you the freedom to do what you want any way you want!

Unfortunately, many websites try to capitalize on Minecraft's success by providing Minecraft downloads which they bundle with different adware or even viruses! Minecraft Tutorial (Beginner's guide)

When it comes to teaching you how to play, Minecraft fails miserably. That's why you need some external guides in order to understand how the game works and how to play it. Otherwise you might just don't understand what you can and what you have to do and just stop playing. Below we provide you with a simple guide in order to get you started.

Since Minecraft is a sandbox game, you don't really have any goals. However, any Minecraft player will need to feed and fight or avoid monsters which come out at night. And you will need to learn how to mine, craft and build things in Minecraft.

Mining. Mining any material in Minecraft is done by wielding the appropriate tool (sometimes nothing - your hands), aiming with your mouse at the block you want to mine (wood, stone, ore, dirt, ...) and pressing and holding the left mouse button. If successful, the block will break and give you the item you were mining. If not (if it takes some time), then you're most probably wielding the wrong tool.

Crafting. Crafting is done by placing any items in the 2x2 grid in your inventory (shown by pressing the "E" button). Many items require you to have crafting table to craft them, so your first goal is to craft this table. You have to mine for some wood logs, then open your inventory ("E"), click wood logs and move them to 2x2 grid, then take the wood plank which you've just made. Create at least 4 wood planks, then place all of them (pressing the right mouse button to place 1 instead of all 4) into the 2x2 grid - this should create you the crafting table. You can then place it in your inventory, wield it, and place somewhere in the game world.

Death. Death in Minecraft makes you lose all your inventory (which is scattered around the point of death) and respawn at some other location in the world. So it's not really lethal, but you're left without your armor, weapons and tools. And if you don't pick it up within 5 minutes, they will disappear.

Food. You can "mine" food from the animals such as pigs, chickens, cows. Killing the animal will leave you meat, which you can eat. Most probably you won't need food on your first day, but after some time the hunger bar will begin to decrease with important points at 90% and 30% of full hunger bar. Below 90% you won't regenerate health, and below 30% you won't be able to run (just walk). So it's better to have some food with you before you get hungry.
