How to get rid of add-ons: Uninstalling Softonic Web Search from PC

It is difficult to find a person who has never experienced a problem of their PC being crowded with the unwanted software after downloading some program from the Internet. The owners of software websites often 'impose' some add-ons that are bundled with the freeware, such as browser toolbars and other utilities that you do not need, and that are at times pretty annoying and difficult to get rid of. As often as not the number of those add-ons skyrockets, and eventually you PC slows down, and its performance becomes much worse.

A well-known soft portal only allows to download free software with the help of a special installer - and the latter is a trap, as it substitutes its Softonic Web Search for your default chosen search engine. Say, you download VLC Player from - and in the process of installing it, Softonic installer will also install its Softonic Web Search. The most annoying part of it is that even if you delete the installed VLC player, your browser settings will not be affected, and you will be forced to use Softonic Web Search, which, alongside with your requested search results will show ads and links to the sponsored websites.
